Merci Beaucoup: Lyman Orchards Donates $2,199 to French Honor Society [VIDEO]

Coginchaug High School students were awarded this week for their volunteer efforts at Lyman Orchards.

Lyman Orchards presented Coginchaug High School's French Honor Society with a check for $2,199 on Nov. 30 for the group's continued support of Lyman's Corn Maze.

FHS students have volunteered as corn cops every year since the first maze in 2000.

"It really is a great partnership and we really appreciate the effort you all put in," said Lyman Orchards Executive Vice President John Lyman III. "What makes our maze special is what you guys are doing, as corn cops."

Lyman said about 41,000 people visited the maze this fall, the second highest attendance total ever.
