Blanket Depicting Middlefield Landmarks on Sale at the Middlefield Historical Society

The Middlefield Historical Society is now selling a 50x60 afghan blanket depicting historic landmarks and scenes of Middlefield and Rockfall.

The afghan is 100 percent cotton, machine washable and made in the USA, society President Ken Twombly said in an email.

Twombly, who said the blanket makes a "great Christmas gift," is on sale for $50 and can be ordered by calling the historical society at 860-349-0665. 

Twombly said the idea to sell this afghan came during the Old Home Day earlier this year. 

"I was asked by some residents if the afghan that was sold by the Junior Women's Club several years ago was still available. They are no longer in existence nor is the company who made the afghan for them. So we decided it was time to produce a new one," Twombly said.
