Obituary: Angela Patricia Vitali, 85, formerly of Durham
Angela, a loving mother and grandmother, enjoyed singing and was a music teacher in the Middletown Public School system for many years.
DURHAM, CT - (From Biega Funeral Home) Angela Patricia Vitali, 85, formerly of Durham, wife of the late Lawrence John Vitali, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Angelo (“Pat”) and Marina Annino, and grew up in Middletown, graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1953.
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Connecticut and taught music for many years at all grade levels in the Middletown public schools.
In retirement, she found joy in singing with the Greater Middletown Chorale, and continued to share her love of music with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She cherished the time that she spent with her family and dear friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Lauren Vitali of Cohasset, MA; Elisa Currie and her husband, Todd, of Wallingford; and Amy Allen, and her husband Douglas, of East Providence, RI; brother, Louis Annino, Sr. and his wife Carol, of Killingworth; sister, Maria Buatti of Middletown; four grandchildren and also 14 nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Liturgy will be held Saturday, July 24th, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 10 Elm Street, Middletown. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
Family and friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Biega Funeral Home, 3 Silver St. Middletown. Facial coverings are required for all services.
