Obituary: Lorraine Ruth Morenz Waller, 96, of Durham
Lorraine worked at the International Silver Co., was Vice President/Secretary at the F. L. Waller Co. and was a staple in the community.

DURHAM, CT - (From Wallingford Funeral Home) Lorraine Ruth Morenz Waller, 96, loving wife of the late Donald F. Waller passed away on Sunday October 10, 2021.
Born in Meriden on March 30, 1925 to the late Arthur J. and Mary (Doyle) Morenz.
She resided in Meriden most of her life, spending the last nine years in Durham with her daughter and son-in-law. Lorraine worked for the phone company in Brooklyn, NY becoming an avid Dodgers fan against her husband’s Yankee’s.
Returning to Meriden she then worked at the International Silver Company before becoming Vice President and Secretary at the F. L. Waller Co. until her retirement. Lorraine was an active parishioner of Holy Angels Church for many years.
She was married there in 1951 and served on numerous committees including the Building Committee for the new church, the Centennial Committee, the Carnival Committees, the Bazaar Committees, the Woman’s Club, was Chairman of the Decorating Committees for many Bazaars and Dances held there. She was proudly one of the first Eucharistic Ministers at Holy Angels.
Lorraine had a kind, loving heart and was always thinking of others.
She loved her family, grandsons, her flower gardens and bird watching. She truly loved babies and especially enjoyed spoiling her niece’s and nephew’s babies.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Donald W. Waller and his wife, Sara, of Meriden, Cynthia W. Bredbury and her husband, Douglas, of Durham, Elizabeth Aman of San Diego, CA; her two grandsons, TJ and Mason Aman of San Diego; her sister Audrey M. Hollman of Meriden; and many nieces and nephews which she cared for deeply.
She was predeceased by her brothers Arthur and John Morenz and her sisters Claire M. Tierney and Rita M. Edson.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street Ext on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 9 am until 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am at Holy Angels Church in Meriden.
Interment will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Meriden. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of one's choice.
