High winds overnight knocked out power to hundreds of Connecticut Light and Power customers in Durham and Middlefield, leading to a two-hour delay at all schools in the district.
CL&P is working quickly to restore the outages, officials said.

At 6:15 a.m., 336 customers in Durham were without electricity, according to CL&P's outage map. 323 customers in Middlefield were in the dark as well.
According to the Durham Department of Emergency Management's Facebook page outages are being repaired in the area of Maiden Lane and Bear Rock Road.
