PD: Durham Suspect in Assault Case Violated Protective Order
Resident Clinton J. Steward was arrested earlier this month.

A Durham man already facing charges of assault and threatening was arrested again after police said he tried to contact the victim in the case.
Clinton J. Stewart, 33, 16 Buckboard Road, Durham, turned himself in to police on Oct. 11 after learning there was a warrant charging him with violating a protective order.
A Middlesex Superior Court judge had placed a protective order on Stewart after his arrest in July on charges of second-degree harassment, threatening and third-degree assault. But police said Stewart violated that protective order this past month.
He was released after posting a $10,000 surety bond and was due in Middlesex Superior Court on Oct. 17.
