At least 11 different volunteer and career fire companies responded to a brush fire that covered over six acres of forested land in Middlefield on Monday.
The companies succeeded in extinguishing the fire, which happened between Kickapoo Road and Powder Ridge, however crews were on scene for the majority of the day.
