State police are investigating an incident at Durham Veterinary Hospital earlier this month. Around 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 3, police were called to the business at 178 Parmelee Hill Road where they discovered the a front door to the business had been broken by a pellet gun or slingshot type of instrument. No one was hurt. Police investigated similar incidents on Haddam Quarter Road in Durham last month, one involving a home and another involving a vehicle. It's not clear if the cases are related.

State police say a BB gun or slingshot was used to break glass at Durham Veterinary Hospital on Parmelee Hill Road earlier this month.
