School District Launches New Website
Region 13 has a new-and-improved website where parents, students and the public can find information and keep up with the latest happenings within the school district.

Regional School District 13 launched its new website today.

School officials have been working for many months on improving the district's website as part of an effort to improve communication with parents, students and the community.
"We are excited about the many new features and links that will make for easier navigation and use," a statement on the website's homepage from Superintendent Susan Viccaro reads. "We strive to partner with parents and community as we work to educate the youth of Durham and Middlefield."

The new website's features include individual pages for each school, a customizable district calendar and a Twitter feed that provides fun facts and updates within the district.
Region 13 Board of Education member Robert Fulton, chairman of the board's Communications Committee, said the website will soon include an area called Board Corner where the public will have direct access to the board and information.
"The whole idea is enhancing communcation with the public," Fulton said.
