Signs Will Be Topic of Meeting Tonight in Durham

The Economic Development Commission is inviting business owners to join in the discussion over town's signing regulations.

 

Durham business owners are invited to a meeting Tuesday night to talk about signs.

The town's Economic Development Commission will meet tonight at 7 p.m. at the Durham Public Library, where business owners will be given an opportunty to hear about and discuss an effort to update the town's sign regulations.

A subcommittee made up of members of Durham's Planning and Zoning Commission, which regulates signage, has spent the past year reviewing the nearly 6-pages of regulations.

EDC chairman Alana Simlick is encouraging business owners to attend the meeting.

Suggestions and feedback will be brought back to the PZC at a later date, before a final vote is taken.
