5 Displaced In East Haven House Fire: Chief

EAST HAVEN, CT — Firefighters battled a blaze at 7 Green Garden Court around 4 p.m. Saturday, according to Fire Chief Matthew Marcarelli.

The fire was contained to a rear bedroom, and one person is being treated at the scene and may be transported to the hospital, the fire officials said. At this time, 5 people are displaced, officials said.

The fire was under control at 5:23 p.m. The East Haven Fire Department received mutual aid assistance from Branford and North Branford fire departments. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
