Community Dinners Help Those In Need

East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and North Branford join with Community Dining Room to fight food insecurity.

EAST HAVEN, CT —East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and North Branford have joined with the Community Dining Room to combat food insecurity.
in a groundbreaking collaboration, the four tows partnered with to address the critical issue of local food insecurity.

This effort demonstrates a strong commitment to ensuring that no resident goes without a meal.
Food insecurity has been a growing concern in the region, affecting countless individuals and families. By joining
forces with The Community Dining Room, these four communities aim to help alleviate this issue and provide
essential support to those in need.
“Wednesday Night Meals” – A Gathering of Friends and Neighbors.
For East Haven, the "Wednesday Night Meals" program is a key component of this collaborative effort, and it
promises to make a real difference in the lives of residents. The program will offer hot, nutritious meals at 5p to
6:30p at following dates and locations:
 November 1st: Bradford Manor
 November 15th: Foxon Firehouse
 December 6th: Bradford Manor
 December 20th: 1 Maple St. Foxon

East Haven Mayor Joseph Carfora, who is also a member of the Mayor's Alliance to End Childhood Hunger, expressed his excitement about this partnership.

"I am pleased to be working with The Community Dining
Room on this vital initiative,” he said. “Food insecurity is a pressing issue, and this collaboration aligns perfectly with our commitment to ending it. By working together, we can ensure a brighter future for our community's children."

Michelle Benivegna, East Haven’s Director of Economic Development agreed.
