East Haven Hiring Firefighter Paramedics, Go Straight To Fire Academy

EAST HAVEN, CT —The East Haven Fire Department is hiring firefighter paramedics. There are currently two open positions.
No firefighter training is needed, as the fire department sends new hires straight to the Connecticut Fire Training Academy.
All paramedics or paramedic students are encouraged to apply.

Here are the nuts and blots:
- The job pays $62,843 a year for a 42-hour work week.
- The shift is 24 hours on, 72 hours off.
- Candidates must possess a valid Driver’s License from the State of Connecticut; a High School Diploma or GED; current license as an Paramedic in the State of Connecticut; must be 18 years of age, and have a valid CPAT Card issued within two years, any time after January 1, 2022 by time of appointment.
- Candidates must pass a physical examination, drug screening and background check in addition to Civil Service Testing.
- Candidate must not use tobacco products.
