EAST HAVEN, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your Mom extra special?
What makes my mom extra special is that she knows how to brighten my mood when I’m sad. Also, she is one of the friendliest people, and she’s very easy to talk to. She also always puts the people she loves before herself.
Why do you feel your Mom deserves the spotlight?
I feel my mom deserves the spotlight because she is just so awesome and very funny. Not only that but she always makes sure she takes care of me and the people she loves before she takes care of herself and I just love her for that!
