EAST HAVEN, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

What makes your mom extra special?
My mom always puts everyone before herself. She is an amazing mom who sacrificed everything so my brother and I could have an amazing childhood. My mom is my best friend she is loving, caring and will give you the shirt off her back. She is all about her family.
Why do you feel your mom deserves the spotlight?
Because my mom is an amazing woman who deserves to be on the world's biggest pedestal. If there was an award for the greatest mother she would win every year.
