East Haven Nursing Home Fined: Report

The Connecticut Health Investigative Team details two incidents at the facility, which led to the fine.

EAST HAVEN, CT — Talmadge Park Health Care of East Haven was fined $2,230 after a resident was injured after falling from a mechanical lift, reports Connecticut Health I-Team's Kate Farrish.

The incident in question occurred back in July of 2015. The state found that two nurse's aides didn't have the client's bed in the correct position when moving the resident onto a wheelchair, Farrish reports.

The same facility was also cited because another resident was fed the wrong amount of nutrients through a tube.
