East Haven Police Dog Helps Branford Cops Make Car Break-In Bust
Branford has had a series of car break-ins and thefts of vehicles; arrest made this morning and Branford police are crediting police dog.

EAST HAVEN, CT - Branford has experienced a spate of car break-ins and thefts recently. This morning two juveniles were arrested and are suspected in a series of those cases. Branford police are crediting East Haven's police dog with helping make that arrest.
Here is what Branford police are saying about the incident on their Facebook page:
"Thanks to an alert citizen in the Pawson Park section of Branford, who called in suspicious activity in the neighborhood. BPD with the assistance of East Haven PD K9 apprehended two juveniles earlier this morning who were in a stolen vehicle after colliding with a police cruiser and fled from police.

"It appears that these juveniles are also responsible for car break-ins earlier this morning. We are confident that the apprehended juveniles are not the only ones involved with this series of car thefts and break-ins.
"We will continue to focus on this problem and appreciate your support with your continued vigilance by reporting all occurrences of suspicious activity as soon as possible, locking your cars and removing personal items.
