ID Of East Haven Teen Killed In Crash Released: Branford Police
Three individuals were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of injuries resulting from the crash.
UPDATE: The Branford Police Department in conjunction with the South Central Regional Traffic squad continues to investigate the fatal motor vehicle crash which occurred at North Main and Cedar streets on Saturday night.
"The crash claimed the life of Emelio Murilllo-Gonzalez, (Tony) of East Haven. Anyone with any information in reference to the accident is encouraged to call Officer Coutu at 203-481-4241. Our condolences are with the family and friends of Emelio Murilllo-Gonzalez at this time," Branford police said Monday afternoon.

At 11:50 p.m. Saturday, emergency responders responded to a serious two-vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of North Main and Cedar streets.
One of the drivers sustained severe injuries, and first responders immediately initiated lifesaving measures, police said. Three individuals were transported to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment of injuries resulting from the crash.

"We regret to inform the community that a 19-year-old male from East Haven suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision," police said. "His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family. We extend our deepest condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time."
Members of the Branford Police Department, along with the South Central Connecticut Regional Traffic Unit, responded to the scene and continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
