Firefighters, Dept. Praised By Community In Letters To Fire Chief

EAST HAVEN, CT — Letters from residents thanking firefighters and the fire department are so meaningful and impactful that East Haven Fire Department Chief Matthew Marcarelli shares them to Facebook.

One letter thanked EHFD first responders for being there "In our time of need." Marcarelli posted to Facebook:

"Nice job, Eric Hallstrom and Dan Mesner! EHFD’s highest level of professionalism does not go unnoticed!"

Another recent note was directed to the firefighters at the Foxon firehouse: "Thank you for being here."
