GoFundMe Page Started for East Haven Cop Injured in Bombing

EAST HAVEN, CT - A GoFundMe page has been started for one of the officers in East Haven that was injured in the home explosion on May 3rd in North Haven.

The page has been started by East Haven resident Jackie Peterson.

The page says, in part, this:

“These men are the bravest of the brave. These men put themselves in harms way every day so that we may enjoy our lives. They sacrifice holidays so that we may enjoy ours.

“They leave their families not knowing if they will ever see them again. These Officers work almost everyday and sometimes double shifts to help supplement their pay. One of these officers is a dear family friend who answered the call to respond that day.

“His name is Sgt. Anthony Rybaruk. If anyone has the privilege of knowing Sgt. Rybaruk you will agree with the rest of what I have to say. He is a true professional and dedicated family man. A great husband and father who works around the clock to live pay check to pay check. He is soft spoken, courteous, and honorable in how he conducts himself as a police sergeant/police officer.

“This is just a brief description of the type man/police officer he is. This is why I am asking everyone for their help. Sgt. Rybaruk suffered a facial injury, concussion, and has possible other injuries that he is currently seeking treatment for.

“This recovery will be a long process both physically and mentally. Sgt. Rybaruk suffers extreme headaches, memory loss, and may need plastic surgery for burns to his face and has to under go other tests to determine if there are fractures to his hip.

“He has lost the ability to supplement his pay. He is a father of 2 beautiful kids. His wife is a dedicated stay at home mom who now has to care for her husband. I am looking to help this family out long term. Please donate to help this wonderful man and his family out. He unselfishly dedicated his life to protecting the community, it is now our time to show our appreciation and take care of one of our finest !
