Greater New Haven Columbus Day Committee Still Accepting Reservations to Participate in This Year's Parade
There's still time to get involved if you and your organization want to be a part of the Columbus Day Parade.

The Greater New Haven Columbus Day Committee is encouraging all other groups or organizations to participate and make reservations for the 2015 Columbus Day Parade.
This year’s Columbus Day Parade will be held in East Haven on Sunday, Oct. 11, beginning at 1 p.m.
The committee has announced this year’s Kickoff event will be held on Sunday, July 12 at the Italian American Club in East Haven. Details and ticket information will be released shortly, along with this year’s Parade Grand Marshalls.

Mayor Joseph Maturo, Jr. of East Haven is the honorary chairman of this year’s parade, which will start from the intersection of Coe Avenue and Short Beach Road, and continue down Hemingway Avenue to Main Street into the West End district, concluding at Circle Lanes. The parade will cover approximately 1.6 miles.
Since 2003, the parade became a regional event hosted on a rotating basis among six area communities, which includes North Haven, Hamden, West Haven, New Haven and Branford. The Greater New Haven Columbus Day Parade Committee remains the organizer of the program, with the annual assistance from each hosting community.

Volunteers are also still needed for the planning and coordinating of the parade. To march in the parade, any group or organization must complete the parade application which can be obtained here.
