Obituary: Beverly M. Lynn, 92 of East Haven

A nurse, she was a pioneer in advocating for the educational rights of children on the autism spectrum.

Beverly M. Lynn, 92 of East Haven, passed away on Wednesday, October 18th. Wife for 52 years of the late Robert Francis Lynn. Father of Robert Thomas Lynn of Wolcott, Deborah Lynn of Watertown, Frederick Lynn and wife Cynthia of Cromwell, and Christopher Lynn and the late Michael Renzullo of East Haven. Grandmother of Robert Lynn of Waterbury, Rebecca Lynn and her husband Benjamin LaBlanc of Wolcott, Nicholas Morello of Coventry, Emily Lynn of Cromwell, Alden Lynn of Middletown and the late Jensen Lynn. Great Grandmother of Emma LeBlanc of Wolcott. Sister of Garrett Menard and wife Donna of Southington and the late Maurice Menard of FL. Sister-in- Law of Dennis Lynn and wife Joanne of Cheshire, and predeceased by Mildred and Hank Douglas of Branford, Joan and Arthur Bennett of Glastonbury, and Frederick Edward Lynn of West Haven. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Beverly was born in 1931 in Claremont, New Hampshire to Maurice and Solveig Menard. She was a graduate of Stevens High School and Saint Francis School of Nursing. She was active in the Southern Connecticut Branch of the National Association for Autistic Children and was a pioneer in advocating for the educational rights of children on the autism spectrum. She was particularly proud of her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Family will receive friends on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service at 11 A.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave. East Haven with burial to follow at All Saints Cemetery beside her husband.
