Obituary: Changben “Ben” Li, 81 of East Haven
A respected Yale School of Medicine and Bristol Meyers Squibb molecular biologist, he was also a professor at Fudan University in Shanghai.
Changben “Ben” Li, 81 of East Haven passed away October 19, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born June 2, 1942 in China to the late Rongcu Li and CaiShou Sun. Ben is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Yineng Wu and their daughter, Xin Li (Karl Yang) of Albany and two grandchildren; Willow Yang and Hunter Yang. He is also survived by his five siblings in China.
Ben was a respected molecular biologist who worked at Yale School of Medicine and Bristol Meyers Squibb. Ben was also a professor at Fudan University in Shanghai, China prior to coming to the U.S. He devoted his whole life to science and research. He will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 1 – 2 P.M. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
