Obituary: Cheryl Ligouri Perricone, 64, of East Haven

A 30-year employee of iHeart Media, she and her husband created memories around cooking, snowmobiling, gardening, music, & vacationing.

Cheryl Ligouri Perricone 64, of East Haven beloved wife of Dennis Perricone passed away on December 2, 2023 surrounded by her family at her home. Sister of Robert (Theresa) Sedlak of Pensacola, FL. Sister-in-law of Janet Spadory, Debbie DeFelice and the late Anthony J. Perricone. Aunt of Cassandra and Brandon Spadory and Vincent M. (Dani) Perricone. Sister-in-law of the late Gerard H. "Gary" Spadory. Cheryl was born in Bridgeport on January 22, 1959 daughter of John Sedlak of Pensacola, FL and the late Dorothea Ann Ehrlich Sedlak.

At the time of her death Cheryl was an Executive Assistant at iHeart Media. Cheryl met Dennis, the love of her life, nearly thirty years ago. Together they enjoyed many years full of creating memories around cooking, snowmobiling, gardening, music, and vacationing. She was a dedicated employee of what is now iHeart Media for nearly thirty years. She loved the positions she held and valued the relationships created there. Cheryl faced the challenges of her illness with bravery, resilience, hope, and faith, together with the loving support of her husband and niece Cassandra. She passed peacefully with dignity and grace at home in the arms of her husband.

Her funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven THURSDAY morning at 10:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in St. Vincent dePaul Church at 11:00. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call WEDNESDAY from 5pm to 8pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital www.stjude.org.
