Obituary: Joseph Buonocore Jr., 72, of East Haven

Joseph Buonocore Jr., 72 of East Haven passed away October 15, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was born August 15, 1951 in New Haven to the late Joseph and Frances (Magliulo) Buonocore. Joseph is survived by his three children; Joseph Buonocore III (Maria) of East Haven, Melissa Pereira (Kenneth) of North Haven and Christopher Buonocore (Diane) of North Haven along with four grandchildren, a brother, Vincent Buonocore (Monica) of East Haven and niece/nephew.

Joseph spent his life enjoying summers at the beach in East Haven where he would boat and water ski as a young man. Fishing, clamming, and crabbing with friends and family were amongst his favorite times. He was the past President of Tag-A-Long handbags, a real estate agent and former Maintenance Supervisor at Residents at Ninth Square in New Haven, Chief Engineer at Holiday Inn at Yale and lastly worked at Fusco Management as the Building Superintendent.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19, 2023 from 10 A.M. until the time of service at 12 P.M. (NOON) in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home & Cremation Service (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. Burial will be private.
