Obituary: Louis T. Carpentino, 75, of East Haven

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and before retiring, Louis worked as a stonemason.

Louis T. Carpentino, 75, of East Haven husband of Janice Vissicchio Carpentino passed away on October 9, 2023 at Yale New Haven Hospital. Father of Anna Pierce and Carmine and Joseph Carpentino. Brother of Marie (Fred) Russo Jr., Martin (Linda) Carpentino and Robert Carpentino all of East Haven; Frederick (Lucille) Carpentino of Durham; and the late Louise Akowitz, Constance Curet and Joseph Carpentino Jr. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Louis was born on June 26, 1948 son of the late Joseph and Louise Mongillo Carpentino Sr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to his retirement, Louis worked as a stone mason.
Family and friends are invited to A Mass of Christian Burial SATURDAY morning at St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 10:00. Interment with military honors will follow in All Saints Cemetery. THERE WILL BE NO CALLING HOURS. Arrangements are in care of the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven.
