Thomas Kucenski, 74, bought a 65 GTO with money earned from a paper route, earned his private pilot license at 16, and had a longtime career in the insurance industry.

John J. Iovene, Jr., 72, was a Yeoman Petty Officer 3rd Class in the United States Navy, has a career at Circuit Wise in North Haven, and later, was a beloved friendly face at Big Y in Branford.

Joseph E. “Poppy” Amento, 97, was a U.S. Navy veteran who proudly served overseas during WWII and the Korean War and was a mechanic at Globe Ford, and a self-taught master carpenter.
