Report: Father Plans to Meet with Branford Police to Discuss His Concerns Over His Son's Disappearance
The son's body was discovered in the woods in East Haven a few weeks ago. He had been missing since 2013.

After hearing news of a body found in East Haven, Mark Sholun went to Branford police to learn if the body was that of his 33-year-old son, Jonathan, of Branford, who had gone missing back in the fall of 2013, the New Haven Register reports.
After his fears were confirmed true, Sholun told the Register he was upset with police for what he believes was a poor search effort and poor treatment of his son’s case, according to the Register. Sholun told the Register that the police didn’t keep in contact with him during the time Jonathan was missing.
In response to Sholun’s accusations, Branford police have reportedly invited Sholun to sit down and speak with the department regarding his son’s case. Sholun told the Register he plans to meet with the chief soon.

A Silver Alert was administered for Jonathan’s disappearance in Dec. of 2013, about a month after the elder Sholun discovered he had gone missing, the Register reported.
