1 Person Airlifted To Hospital As 3 Vehicles Collide In Somers

SOMERS, CT — A small car collided with a pickup truck and mini van in Somers and had the worst of it, state police said.

State police said the crash occurred at 7:35 Friday night.

According to a crash report, a 2015 Mitsubishi Lancer was headed east on Route 190 and a 2022 Chrysler Voyager was headed west near Sunset Drive.

Meanwhile a 1985 Chevrolet K10 pickup entered Route 190 as the Lancer was negotiating a curve and the two collided, according to a crash report. The Lancer then bounced off the truck and collided with the Chrysler, according to a crash report.

A 50-year-old man from Wales, MA, who was driving the Lancer, was airlifted to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries, according to a crash report.

Everyone else involved had minor of no injuries, state police said.
