2 Car Crash Closes Main Street, 1 Driver Flown To Trauma Center: Somers Fire Department
BREAKING: Motorists are urged to avoid the area.

SOMERS, CT — Two people were hospitalized after a two-car crash, the fire department said.
At 2:14 p.m. Sunday, the Somers Fire Department responded to the intersection of Main Street and Hall Hill Road for a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, members discovered a two-car collision.
One driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, officials said. The second driver suffered serious injuries and was transported by LifeStar helicopter to a trauma center, officials said.

Main Street will remain closed until further notice while the accident is under investigation.
The Somers Fire Department said it thanks the responding agencies for their assistance and asks the public to avoid the area until the roadway is reopened
