As we recognize February is Heart Health Month, it’s essential to adopt a holistic approach to cardiovascular disease. This approach considers the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—and combines standard medical care with lifestyle changes, stress management, and other complementary preventative practices. Key components include a heart-healthy diet, regular exercise, stress reduction techniques like meditation and deep breathing, adequate sleep, and not smoking.
