On Campus: Great Achievements By College Students From Ellington And Somers

College of Charleston, Charleston SC

• Samantha Morrow, of Ellington, was named to the College of Charleston spring 2025 Dean's List. Morrow is majoring in communication To qualify for the Dean's List (Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.500 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• A number of students from Ellington and Somers were named to the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester, in which 1,302 students were recognized for maintaining high GPAs. Ellington residents honored were Shannon Carbonell, Samuel Forst, Noah Madore, Edon Selimaj, Luke Sirois, Margaret Ritchie, McKayla Lucey, Jessica Stone, Isabella Piazza, Drew Thibert and Charlotte Mund. Honorees from Somers were Jaydon Griger, Kaycha Perez, Sophie Jones, Grace Majowicz, Izabella Szleszynski, Chloe Albano and David Reid. To qualify for Dean's List, full-time students must complete a minimum of 12 credits in letter-graded courses with an average GPA of 3.5 or higher in the semester.

Nichols College, Dudley MA

• Two students from Ellington and Somers earned their academic degrees at the college's commencement ceremony on May 3, 2025, at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. Jonathan Conte of Ellington earned a Master of Business Administration, and Andrew Skowronek of Somers earned a Master of Science in accounting.

Stonehill College, Easton MA

• Andrew Bilbie and Cassondra Rice, both of Ellington, were named to the spring 2025 Dean's List. To qualify for this recognition, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better. They must also have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered during the term.
