American International College, Springfield MA

• Four local students recently earned degrees at AIC's 140th commencement ceremony on May 4, 2025, at the MassMutual Center in Springfield. They were Alyssa Stetson of Ellington, Bachelor of Science in psychology; Mallory Stager of Somers , Bachelor of Science in nursing; Amanda Seidl of Somers, certificate in advanced graduate studies in reading specialist; and Nicholas Hutchinson of Somers, Doctor of Education in school psychology
• Daniel Fraher, Concetta Shewokis and Mallory Stager, all of Somers, and Tess Histen and Jack Lomot, both of Ellington, earned places on the Dean's List for the spring 2025 semester. These full-time students have attained GPAs ranging from 3.3 to 4.0.

Central Connecticut State University, New Britain CT

Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA

• Ankit Roy of Ellington earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for spring 2025 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Sarah Smithline, of Somers, graduated with a Master of Architecture, and a graduate certificate in real estate in May as part of the Class of 2025.
• Ayva Johnson and Alex Repass, both of Ellington, and Phillip Alaimo of Somers were named to the spring 2025 Dean's List at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

University of Albany, Albany NY

• The University at Albany has recognized Taylor Paton of Ellington for selection to the spring 2025 Dean's List. The Dean's List at the University at Albany recognizes the outstanding academic achievements of full-time undergraduate students. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher in their first semester of study and a GPA of 3.50 or higher in subsequent semesters.
