On Campus: Great Achievements By Ellington, Somers College Students

ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire. More great feats will be noted as they are received in the coming weeks.

Emerson College, Boston MA

• Two students from Ellington were named to Emerson College's Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester. Ashley Maningas is majoring in marketing communication and is a member of the Class of 2026. Colleen McGrath is majoring in theatre education and is a member of the Class of 2028. To make the Dean's List, students must have a grade point average of 3.7 or higher for that semester.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Morgan Juzba, an accounting major from Somers, was recently inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, an International Honor Society for Business, Management, and Administration. Juzba is a member of the Class of 2025. Membership in Sigma Beta Delta is the highest national recognition a business student can receive at a college or university with a Sigma Beta Delta chapter. To be eligible for membership, a business student must rank in the top 20 percent of the junior, senior or graduate class and be invited to membership by the faculty officers.
• Two students from Somers were named to the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester by achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Morgan Juzba is an accounting major, and Anna Majowicz is a communication and media studies major.
