College of Charleston, Charleston SC

• Samantha Morrow of Ellington was named to the College of Charleston fall 2024 Dean's List. Morrow is majoring in communication. To qualify for the Dean's List (Distinguished), students must earn a GPA of 3.500 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Endicott College, Beverly MA

• Four area students made the Dean's List for the fall 2024 semester. The honorees and their majors are Ava Caron, Ellington, education; Kevin Lunsford, Ellington, accounting; Annabella Nunes, Somers, education; and Hannah Spivey, Ellington, English. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.

Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA

• Stefan Asamoah of Ellington earned a Master of Science in cybersecurity from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Asamoah was among approximately 6,400 undergraduate and graduate students to be presented Georgia Tech degrees during the Institute's 267th Commencement exercises Dec. 12-14, 2024, at McCamish Pavilion (Ph.D. and bachelor's) and Bobby Dodd Stadium (master's).
• Ankit Roy of Ellington earned the distinction of Faculty Honors for fall 2024 at the Georgia Institute of Technology. This designation is awarded to undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 academic average for the semester.

Georgia State University, Atlanta GA

• Jacob Avery of Somers was named to the fall 2024 Dean's List at Georgia State University. To be eligible for the Dean's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 3.5 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• The University at Albany has recognized Taylor Paton of Ellington, majoring in biology, for selection to the fall 2024 Dean's List. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher in their first semester of study and a GPA of 3.50 or higher in subsequent semesters.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA
