Car Crashes Into House In Ellington

ELLINGTON, CT — A car crashed into a house on Windsorville Road Wednesday morning, causing heavy damage to the structure.

The crash was reported around 7:05 a.m. at 242 Windsorville Road, just around a bend from Windermere Elementary School. The house is a white older vintage farmhouse.

From the road, the car could be seen completely within the structure.

The occupant of the house was not injured, but the car operator was trapped in the vehicle with minor injuries. Firefighters said they stabilized part of the structure so the driver could be removed and taken to a hospital.

Firefighters remained on scene until the vehicle was removed from the home.
