ELLINGTON, CT — An incident inside the Five Corners roundabout left a mailbox wrecked and a classic car without a tire, state police said.

The incident took place at 8:53 a.m. on Sept. 24, according to a state police crash report.

According to a crash report, a 1984 Ford Mustang GLX with a 34-year-old Willimantic man driving was in the Five Corners roundabout. The rear passenger-side tire then came loose from the sports car and the driver lost control while exiting the rotary toward Windsorville Road, according to a crash report.

The mustang then hit the mailbox in front of a business at 186 Windsorville Road, according to a crash report.

No injuries were reported.
