Day 7: Power Restoration Nearly Complete In Ellington, Somers

Less than 1 percent of homes in Ellington and Somers were still without electricity as of late Monday morning, according to Eversource.

ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT — Power restoration has been completed to nearly all Ellington and Somers customers of Eversource Energy, according to the latest updated figures.

As of 11 a.m. Monday, just 25 homes remained out of service in Ellington, or 0.32 percent, while 58 customers, or 1.41 percent, were still without power in Somers.

At its peak last Wednesday, more than 7,000 homes were in the dark in the two towns.
