It’s a new year, but maybe it’s time to consider something old . . . like antiques, to add interest and conversation to your home. Enter: the Vintage Bee Collective, Somers Business of the Month for January 2025. The Collective features beautiful and interesting antique furnishings, as well as professional design advice for your home. They are located at 49 Maple Street, in the old milll building. The award was presented to business owner Melissa Zelek by Somers First Selectman Tim Keeney.
Patrons from any community can nominate a Somers business for the award based on such criteria as superior customer service, innovative products or services, professional staff development, donating money to a town project, sponsoring a youth project, or longevity in business. Sponsored by the Economic Development Commission, the award is presented monthly.
