DMV Laws, Brush Drop Off, High Temps

Good morning Ellington and Somers! Here are a few things to start your day off.

1. First day of October? Believe it or not, temperatures are supposed to hit a high of 80 degrees, followed by a high of 83 degrees tomorrow. Expect three days of sunshine before rains on Friday and a high of 75. See more on Weather.gov.
   
   
2. A series of new DMV laws went into effect today. Check them out here.
   
   
3. The Somers Board of Selectmen will be meeting this Thursday, Oct. 3, at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. Here's the posting for it.
   
   
4. The Hoffman Road Brush Drop Off Facility in Ellington is open today at 1 p.m. and will close at 4 p.m. It's also open again on Thursday.
   
   
5. The Ellington Women’s Club’s October meeting and pot luck supper will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m. at the Ellington Senior Center. More on that here.
