Ellington Historical Society Membership Drive & 2025 Exhibit Underway

The Ellington Historical Society's membership drive is officially underway! Whether you're a long-time member looking to renew or someone new and eager to join, now is the perfect time to support local history. Membership dues are a primary source of income for maintaining the Nellie McKnight Museum and its surrounding property, ensuring that Ellington’s rich heritage continues to be preserved and shared with the community.

Joining or renewing your membership is simple and can be done online at www.ellingtonhistsoc.org. Just click the “Join and Support” button to get started. Dues of $25 for individuals, $40 for members, or $150 for businesses can also be mailed to P.O. Box 73, Ellington, CT. 06029. Becoming a member does not require any volunteer commitments—your support alone makes a difference!

Members are preparing the 2025 exhibit, Field of Dreams: Celebrating Ellington’s Sports History. Opening on April 26th, this exhibit will showcase the town’s athletic legacy through photos, stories, and memorabilia. The Historical Society is actively seeking contributions for this exhibit. If you have historical sports-related items, photographs, or stories to share, please consider loaning them for display.
