Ellington Retailer Sells Top Prize-Winning CT Lottery Ticket
A lucky winner claimed a $50,000 prize on a $5 scratch ticket.
ELLINGTON, CT — A CT Lottery player from Ellington recently parlayed a $5 investment in a scratch ticket into the game's top prize of $50,000.
The winner, who opted to remain anonymous, captured the bonanza on a Stud Poker ticket purchased at the Cumberland Farms store at the Five Corners roundabout. The winnings were claimed Monday, according to the CT Lottery website.
The CT Lottery publishes winnings of $10,000 or more as public record.
