Fire Crews Respond To Shed Fire In Ellington

Crews from Somers, Broad Brook, and Crystal Lake assisted Ellington firefighters Tuesday.

ELLINGTON, CT — Fire crews responded to a fire on Crane Road in Ellington late Tuesday morning that damaged a shed, town officials said.

The call came in just before 11:45 a.m., according to a 911 alert from Tolland County Mutual Aid Fire Service, Inc.. The fire happened in the area of Crane Road near Broad Brook Road and Rye Field Road.

The Ellington Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. Fire departments from Somers, Broad Brook, and Crystal Lake were also called in to help provide water tankers.

The Town of Ellington said the fire damaged a shed and thanked all of the departments that helped.
