SOMERS, CT — A forecast of snow has prompted a parking ban to be put into effect in Somers, beginning at 6 p.m. Monday and lasting 24 hours through 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

All vehicles are to be removed from town streets, or are subject to being towed at the owner's expense.

The latest forecast from the National Weather Service calls for snow to begin around 9 p.m., accompanied by wind gusts up to 20 mph. Accumulation of 3 to 5 inches is expected, with another inch or two expected to fall Tuesday before clearing in early afternoon.
