Local Mom An 'Unseen Angel' In The Lives Of Many, Friend Says

ELLINGTON-SOMERS, CT— Moms do so much for everyone around them. We try to celebrate them all year long, but Mother's Day is a perfect opportunity to shout it from the rooftops and post it on Patch: Mom rocks!

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize the awesome moms and mom figures in communities like yours.

This submission comes from her best friend who nominated Michelle Morrill of Ellington-Somers.

What makes this mom extra special?

Michelle is the best mom, and friend anyone could ask for. She devotes her life to serving others; from her kids, her many nieces and nephews, and thanklessly saving community lives as a respiratory therapist. She always seems to know when someone is in need of a smile and appears with the most thoughtful and personal gesture. It is rare to ever see her not attend a special event for someone, and somehow always rearranges her life to be present. She is never to be seen without her kids or beloved dog. Michelle is the ultimate savior for anyone that is lucky enough to call her a friend.

Why do you feel this mom deserves the spotlight?

Michelle goes above and beyond for everyone around her. She is the ultimate example of grace, intelligence, and selflessness. Michelle loves her many nieces and nephews as her own, often caring for them in addition to her own children. She is the unseen angel in our lives. Michelle juggles many things at one time and does so effortlessly.
