Motorcycle Passenger From Somers Injured In Crash Dies: Suffield PD

The crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup took place shortly after 5 p.m. on Aug. 29 on Route 75 in Suffield.

SUFFIELD, CT — A Somers resident who was a passenger on a motorcycle involved in a serious crash with a pickup truck last week on Route 75 has died, according to Suffield police.

On Aug. 29 around 5:09 p.m., the motorcycle was traveling north on South Main Street in the area of Kent Avenue when it was struck from behind by a pickup truck traveling in the same direction, Capt. Robert Palmer said.

The passenger on the rear of the motorcycle died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. She has been identified by police as Kimberlee Anne Kelley, 65, of Somers.

The motorcycle operator was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The truck operator reported no injuries and is cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing by the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad (MCMARS).
