Public Information Meeting Scheduled On Ellington Sidewalk Project
Local officials will hold a public information meeting on the plan to install sidewalks and other pedestrian improvements along West Road.

ELLINGTON, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) awarded Ellington funds to install sidewalks and other pedestrian improvements along West Road, or Route 83. The project starts at the Vernon town line and heads northward to the intersection of Main Street. All easements required for the project have been obtained, and plans are ready to be submitted for final sign-off by the DOT.
Local officials have scheduled a public information meeting to review the project plans and discuss next steps on Thursday, May 30 at 6 p.m. in the Town Hall Annex at 57 Main Street. Notification has been sent to all adjacent property owners.
A copy of the improvement plans may be reviewed on the town’s website at Ellington-ct.gov.
