National Night Out At Field Road Park In Somers Postponed: UPDATED

The second annual community-building campaign that promotes police and community partnerships has been postponed due to inclement weather.

SOMERS, CT — For the second straight year, National Night Out, an annual community-building campaign that promotes police and community partnerships, is returning to Somers.

The event had been slated for Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Field Road Park. However, a forecast of inclement weather has prompted organizers to reschedule it to Aug. 27.

Many local groups and organizations are participating, including Connecticut State Police, the Parks and Recreation Department, Somers PTO Club, Somers Public Library. Demonstrations will also be offered by SOMERSault Jungle Gymnastics.

There will be some free refreshments, samples from Daily Grind Healthy Hangout and DJ entertainment.
