SOMERS, CT — In an unusual voting year, just one position on the ballot for Somers residents was contested, to fill a two-year vacancy on the Board of Finance.

Republican Paul Hart claimed that seat, nearly doubling the vote total of petitioning candidate Ralph Williams Jr.

Final vote totals will not be official until confirmed by the Secretary of the State's office, likely Wednesday morning.
