Somers Fire Department Responds to Fourth Structure Fire in a Week

Somers, CT – March 11, 2025 – For the fourth time in a week, Somers firefighters answered the call to battle a structure fire, proving once again that while Somers may be a small town, no community is immune to the dangers of fire.

The latest fire broke out in the garage of a home on Aspen Ridge. Thanks to the swift and coordinated response of Somers Fire Department members, the flames were quickly extinguished before they could spread further. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

While all four fires this past week appear to be unrelated, their causes remain under investigation. These incidents serve as a critical reminder of the importance of fire prevention and safety. Residents are urged to take proactive steps to protect their homes, such as ensuring smoke alarms are working, keeping flammable materials away from heat sources, and practicing safe cooking and heating habits.

Through each of these fires, the dedicated members of the Somers Fire Department—both career and volunteer—have remained steadfast in their commitment to protecting lives and property.
